Learn to play bridge at the American Contract Bridge League education site

Currently the Reno unit has three ongoing bridge classes by Certified Bridge Instructors.  They are held at the Reno Bridge Center and TMCC, and offer an easy way for you to learn or improve at the best game in the world (All except TMCC held at 2850 Wrondel Way, Suite D).

Bridge Classes at TMCC

    Bridge I: Bidding
    If you’re an absolute beginner, learn to play one of the world’s most popular card games using the American Contract Bridge League's introduction to the principles of bidding and how to play a bridge hand. Learn the use of the Stayman convention over no-trump opening bids, and discover how to bridge29effectively work and cooperate with a partner. Besides the game’s fun and social contact, bridge has been shown to sharpen the mind, improve critical thinking, planning and concentration, and more.

    Bridge IV: Advanced Bridge bridge31
       Become a better player by learning additional conventions useful to the bridge player and declarer. Discover defense techniques and how to create a forcing auction to find the best games and slams to earn maximum points. Learn how to use the two-over-one system to maximize finding the best contracts.

    Bridge III:  Defense
       Improve your skills by learning how to work with a partner to defend a bridge hand, take more tricks and defeat more contracts. Explore opening leads, third- and second-hand play, defensive bridge34signals and tricks, interfering with the declarer and planning the defense. Review and improve your bidding and learn how to use Negative Doubles.
